Romantic Oregon Wine Country Wedding

If it’s going to rain on your wedding day — Maysara Winery in McMinville, Oregon is where you want to be. While we hoped for sun for Elena and Rob’s June wedding, the weather had other plans (which is why you always, always want to have a backup plan if you’re getting married in the PNW!)

Thankfully, Maysara has these incredible, GIGANTIC doors that can open up to make guests feel as if they’re outside. You still have an incredible view of wine country, but everyone gets to stay dry — a win-win! Elena and Rob were troopers throughout the change of plans and everything turned out so beautifully, from the romantic florals by Flowers & Thyme to the rentals and decor from The Party Place to the delicious food from White Pepper PDX.

Elena had a piece of her late mother’s wedding dress sewn into her own gown– what an incredibly special tribute to her mom on her wedding day. Not to mention the floral detail was so beautiful and such a stunning addition to Elena’s dress.

See what I mean about those doors? HUGE! Also an excellent spot for a first look backdrop.

DelJean with Flowers & Thyme never disappoints with her stunning creations — I am particularly fond of the romantic mix of peonies, ranunculus, hydrangeas, and roses in Elena’s bouquet.

A little rain didn’t stop these two from trekking out into the hills with Alex and Daniel for some incredible photos. Thankfully we had our clear umbrellas on standby (a must-have for a rainy wedding day!)

Did I mention that Rob is a comedian? Oh yes… and their good friend who officiated the wedding is also a comedian, so as you can imagine — there were LOTS of laughs this day!

Custom signage from Life in Letters is always one of my favorite details to include. McKenna knocks it out of the park every time!

Being able to repurpose ceremony florals is the *best*… one of the ceremony arbor arrangements became their sweetheart table garland, and the wine barrels at the back of the aisle framed the table.

Check out this delicious spread from Lux Sucre… YUM! It’s become so popular to have a small cutting cake for the bride and groom plus a whole bunch of dessert options for guests to choose from. Guests love a good dessert bar spread!

Congrats again, Elena and Rob! I have such fond memories of your special day, and I’m thankful to have been a part of it. Thank you for trusting me and my team and thank you for all the laughs!
