Ignite & Gather Round One

After months of planning, the inaugural Ignite & Gather workshop took place on February 2nd, 2019 at Cloverdale Chapel and Meetinghouse in Creswell, Oregon. Our original workshop was specifically for wedding photographers and wedding planners, and was such a wonderful way to kick off the Ignite & Gather experience!

Everyone gathered together for brunch in the meetinghouse where we enjoyed delicious treats from Creswell Bakery (I can still smell the cinnamon rolls… yumm!) and got to know each other a bit. After we all had time to chat, I jumped into sharing on 3 topics: 1. how to get your work featured online and in print, 2. effective vendor communication, and 3. tabletop styling. We also had a fabulous bonus teaching from Rebekah Carey about how to style flat lays!

Next, Ashley captured headshots for each attendee, and then it was on to the colorful editorial shoot, followed by a Q&A sesh.

My goal for these intimate workshops is for there to be plenty of discussion and hands-on interaction rather than just being talked at for hours. I made sure to keep everyone involved and I love all of the questions that attendees came up with. It was so great having different perspectives (photographer, planner, florist, stationery designer) to share each of our own ideas and thoughts on various topics.

It was truly an incredible group of ladies to connect with and I couldn’t have imagined a more successful first workshop! Thank you so much to our 5 fabulous photographers and 3 lovely planners who joined us in February.
