Brittany and Mackenzie forged through with their wedding day in the midst of the pandemic last summer, and took every precaution to make sure all of their guests and vendors were as safe as possible. They were SO intentional with every single detail, and it made for an incredibly thoughtful and memorable day! Read on to learn more about how they incorporated social distancing, special pins, and other precautionary details to ensure a safe and fun experience for all. And as always, enjoy the beautiful images captured by Alex Elise Photo!
Brittany and Mackenzie opted for a private ceremony, where their guests could view from a distance but couldn’t actually hear anything being said. This made for a beautiful, private moment between the couple and their officiant that they will remember for a lifetime. Wild Child Flower Co. created this unique floral “nest” for Brittany and Mackenzie to say their vows in. Naughty Dog Farm in Cottage Grove, Oregon provided the most picturesque backdrop for this warm summer day in August. All tables were placed at least 6′ apart, and guests were seated together with their family “pods.” There were hand sanitizer bottles at each table for guests to stave off any unwanted germs. When guests arrived, they were greeted by this seating chart display where they could find their tables, as well as a sign reading “please respect 6′ of distance for those wearing pins” and a table filled with beautiful custom pins by Kalen Rivers. There were also parasols for guests to protect themselves from the heat of the day, and of course a place to drop their gifts. We always love working with Marisa and Danny of The TIpsy Mule! They provide such a fun bar experience for events of all types. One of my favorite details of the entire day were these custom cutting/serving boards that the groom handcrafted for each of their guests. The caterer, Bar Purlieu served appetizers on them, and they included custom tags from Kalen that read “take me home tonight!” You can’t go wrong with The Sassy Cupcake at your wedding! Gretchen has so many delicious flavors to choose from, and her mini cupcakes are the cutest (and tastiest) around.
I can’t say enough great things about the team who brought this day to life for Brittany and Mackenzie. Everyone came together to provide a unique, unforgettable experience in the midst of a pandemic, and it could not have gone more smoothly. Thank you to each of these lovely folks below — and endless thanks to Brittany and Mackenzie for trusting me with your vision!
