It’s not every day that you walk in to a local coffee shop to grab a white mocha and get some work done, and end up being hired to coordinate the friendly barista’s wedding…
It went a little something like this: one of Zelia’s coworkers noticed that I had wedding stuff up on my laptop (probably Pinterest) and asked what I did for a living; I told him I was a wedding planner and he said “Oh! You have to talk to Zelia! She’s getting married soon.” And so I walked over and we started chatting about her upcoming wedding a few months away and how she had recently been thinking about hiring a coordinator… I gave her my business card and heard from her a few days later, we set up a meeting and it’s all history from there. And to add to the awesome-ness, Jordan, the groom, knows my husband Andrew. Such a small world!
Zelia and Jordan are one of the sweetest couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with and it was so great to get to know them a bit throughout this process. They were married at Dorris Ranch in Springfield, which is such a naturally beautiful venue. Their color palette of red, grey, and white came together so well, especially with the bridal party! I loved their whole style. The girls had adorable red bows in their hair and the whole wedding party wore red Toms. As far as comfy wedding shoes go, I think Toms take the cake!
How cute are they!?
The bride’s sister made adorable burlap and fabric flower centerpieces as well as Zelia’s Star Wars themed toss bouquet and Jordan’s Star Wars fabric boutonniere. They even ordered a Star Wars guest book from Etsy… so rad.
I LOVE this picture… definitely a fun bunch!
Zelia and Jordan, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of such an amazing day. It was an honor and I’m so glad to know you two!!
