Now that I have a blog that is fully functional (and mobile friendly!!) I am excited to start blogging regularly! My previous WordPress theme gave me all sorts of issues and I am excited for this fresh start.
Today I am so happy to share the stunning images from Taylor and Phil’s wedding by Bethany Small Photography. Taylor and Phil were married at Oak Knoll Acres in Creswell on a perfect August day and it was such a joy to coordinate! Taylor is co-owner of Good Seed Floral Design and her and her business partner Joanna (also one of her bridesmaids) are some of my favorite ladies to work with. Flowers, of course, played a big role in the day and the organic, wild quality of the designs fit in perfectly with the woodsy setting of the venue.
Read on to hear more about all of the lovely details of the day!
Taylor’s bridesmaids wore goreous floral print dresses and their bouquets complimented them perfectly.
The guys wore suspenders and different colored bow ties, while the groom rocked a vest to stand out. As you can see, they looked very dapper!
The woods surrounding Oak Knoll Acres provided the perfect spot for Taylor and Phil’s first look and for some stunning portraits of the two. Wasn’t Taylor a gorgeous bride!?
Taylor and Phil were going for a picnic-vibe during the reception and I created this card box out of a picnic basket by removing the inner lining and adding ribbon and lace.
The natural wood ceremony arbor at Oak Knoll Acres is so beautiful on its own, but the addition of the floral garland and fabric just made it the perfect backdrop for the bride and groom to say “I do.”
Taylor and Phil planted a tree together as a part of their ceremony (in place of a unity candle or sand ceremony). I just love this idea! And then to be able to plant it at your first home and watch it grow over the years… so special.
I always adore the shots of the bride and groom coming back up the aisle in the moment after they’re officially married… they’re always filled with so much joy! And of course this photo is no exception.
Guests had the opportunity to buy monogrammed tumblers to go towards Taylor and Phil’s honeymoon fund, and to fill with delicious lemonade at the lemonade stand. Such a fun and practical idea!
Taylor and Phil had a picnic-style reception (there was plenty of seating but they had picnic blankets and encouraged guests to use those as well). Close friends and family performed live music during dinner which was incredible!
The bride created all of the signage for the day including hand painted signs (like the ones above) and chalkboard signs. I wish I could share photos of all the unique signs but then this blog post would never end!
One of my favorite details of the day was this lovely structure that the bride’s dad built for the sweetheart table.
Not to mention the DIY gold marquee “S” surrounded by greenery! This was the perfect little spot for the bride and groom to enjoy dinner, and their wedding party was seated nearby on either side of them.
Taylor and Phil sneaked away for some golden hour photos and I am just in love with these… the lighting is perfect and the joy in these photos is so contagious!
When it came time for cake cutting, there was an adorable cake for the bride & groom to cut and enjoy with their wedding party, and delicious donuts were available for the rest of the guests. Yum!
Emily with Simply Elegant Wedding Rentals, who was also one of Taylor’s bridesmaids, put together this beautiful display upstairs in the barn as an area for guests to leave advice for the newlyweds on a vintage typewriter. There was also a popcorn station and a coffee station upstairs for a “midnight snack,” which guests loved.
After dinner, music, and toasts, guests moved in to the barn for dancing. Bethany was able to get some fantastic shots from up above!
Guests sent Taylor and Phil on their way with a classic sparkler exit and ended the evening just right. It was a perfect day and I am so glad I was able to be a part of it. Taylor and Phil will already be celebrating their one year anniversary in a couple of month… how time flies!
Thank you to all of the wonderful vendors who helped this day happen, it wouldn’t be possible without you!
