It’s February, which means my daughter turns one NEXT MONTH!
Holy smokes. This is crazyness. I can’t tell you how many times I heard this when I was pregnant: “enjoy every moment, because it’s really going to fly by.” Ummm YEAH. That’s an understatement…I can’t even comprehend how it’s been nearly a year. I’m so excited and honestly so sad all at once. BUT! This all means I get to plan a super awesome celebration for my little lady. And I am having soo much fun.
She was born in mid-March and her nursery is decorated with flowers, watering cans, butterflies, and other spring-y things. So I figured we would just make it easy and carry the theme throughout her birthday as well. Light purples, blues, and pinks will be the main colors and we’re going to have cupcakes and yummy homemade treats and watch Addy destroy her own little cake. I’m working on putting a video together of Addy’s first year that we’ll play at the party as well. I’m also incorporating chevron because Addy’s birthday dress is purple and white chevron. It should be here soon, I can’t wait to see it in person!! This is it:
I ordered some adorable lavender and aqua chevron straws as well as some other goodies. A friend of mine designed the invitations and cupcake toppers and they are BEYOND adorable. I can’t wait to see it all come together next month!
Here is some of my inspiration for her party and some fun ideas I’ve collected from Pinterest:
Eek, I am so excited to incorporate all of these ideas!
