What a week it’s been! My daughter turned one year old this past Saturday. It’s incredible how fast this year has flown by… I’m still trying to comprehend the fact that she’s a “toddler” now.
We celebrated with a fun butterfly and spring themed birthday party with lots of purple, aqua, and pink. I can’t wait to share photos from her party! But for now, I thought I would share some photos from the little birthday shoot we did earlier this month.
Although I don’t necessarily advertise it, I love to style photo shoots! If you are planning an engagement session, first birthday, newborn shoot, etc, I would love to help design a super cute set up.
We were originally going to do the shoot at Jasper Park near Pleasant Hill, but it was closed when we arrived so we backtracked to Island Park in Springfield. It actually started sprinkling on the way over and I was a little worried, but thankfully the rain held off once we got there. Addy LOVES having her picture taken and just had a blast the entire time, through two outfit changes and multiple location/prop changes. She spent a good majority of the shoot smiling… I think it had something to do with the fact that her nana and dada were there entertaining her the entire time. ;)
She even kept the adorable flower crown by Good Seed Floral Design on her head the whole time!! Amazing. The chalkboard you see in several of the photos is from Simply Elegant Wedding & Event Rentals.
My happy girl. :) The dress in the first half of the photos is from my mom, and the dress in the second half is from Andrew’s mom, which I thought was kind of special to include them both. Unfortunately, both of the dresses are ruined now… I need to learn to read tags before putting things in the washing machine!
On her birthday, I posted the following photo on Facebook with the caption “Raise your hand if it’s your first birthday today!!”
I love how she is posing in this next one… so stinking cute.
This one cracks me up… she looks so grumpy although it was only a split second before she was smiling again! The balloon looks gigantic compared to her!
Two things I am not: a professional photographer, and a chalkboard artist. But I still think the photos turned out pretty dang cute despite these things! It certainly helps having the most beautiful baby girl as my subject. :)
Have a wonderful weekend!!
