When Brooke first contacted me, I was beyond excited to hear that her and her fiance Peter were planning to get married at the Heceta Head Lighstation Bed & Breakfast in Yachats, Oregon, which holds a special place in their hearts. I have a slight obsession with lighthouses myself and was thrilled about this opportunity.
Brooke and Peter live in Washington, so I didn’t even meet them in person until the day before their wedding. But just as I suspected, they are super sweet and were a true pleasure to work with. I was blown away when I arrived at the bed & breakfast for the rehearsal… the views are unbelievable!
Brooke & Peter’s intimate ceremony was held down on the beach below the bed & breakfast. On the day of the wedding, it was foggy and cloudy, and while I was setting up the ceremony I was a little worried that the rain was going to come in… but it held off and the weather allowed for Stefan and Audrey to catch some incredible shots of the bride and groom! Guests were welcomed to the ceremony with warm blankets and water bottles and after the short walk up to the reception tent, there were delicious homemade chocolates for each guest to help them find their seat.
The reception tent was decorated beautifully with lanterns, sea shells, lights, and touches of brown and sea glass blue. The bed & breakfast provided an incredible meal for guests and afterwards there was a dessert bar filled with all sorts of cookies, cakes, pies, as well as a s’mores bar! I don’t think anyone went home hungry. ;)
It was a truly beautiful day and Stefan and Audrey captured it perfectly with these incredible images… enjoy!
I loved hearing about some of the history between these two during the reception. This wedding had been a long time coming for them and it was such a beautiful reflection of their love for one another. Congratulations Brooke and Peter, it was an honor to witness and be a part of your special day.
